Grade K

What’s the Solution?
Develop skills of observation and prediction as you investigate the properties of amazing chemical substances.
Grades 1-2

d Water Woes
Investigate sources of water contamination using pH testing.
Grades 3-4

dHow Big is Your Ecology Footprint?
Learn about other cultures as you investigate ways to lessen human impact on our ecosystem.
Grades 5-6

PHYSICAL SCIENCE

new Lift, Squeeze, Stretch & Twist
Learn how toys generate energy and how forces can change their movement.
Grade K

newBatteries, Bulbs & Wires
Experience the flow of energy by creating electrical systems with blades, lights and motors.
Grades 1-2

newTransformers
Make a working speaker to investigate electricity, magnetism and sound.
Grades 3-4

newGyroscopes & Hovercrafts
Become a human gyroscope and ride on a hovercraft to discover first-hand the effect of forces on movement, speed and direction.
Grades 5-6

BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE

newFly Away
Investigate life cycles, bind migration and patterns in nature.
Grade K

Life in the Desert
Go to the desert to experience habitats, adaptation and camouflage.
Grades 1-2

Worms
Using live worms, find out how these recyclers and composters keep our soil healthy.
Grades 3-4
Related Activities

Who Are You?
Learn how your chromosomes and genes play an important part in making you who you are.
Grades 5-6
Related Activities

EARTH & SCIENCE

new Seasons Change
Experience “unearthly” activities that make the seasons come alive.
Grade K

new Awesome Weather
View the water cycle in action, then cook up a storm and test out weather vanes.
Grades 1-2

NEW! Weather, Water & Wind
Young meteorologists make forecasting instruments to learn about weather predictions and patterns.
Grades 3-4

NEW! Storm-E
Become a weather expert as you decide whether or not to hold a special event in the face of a blizzard or tornado! This program requires completion of pre-visit activities from Storm-E, a NASA-sponsored website at http://storme.cet.edu.
Grades 5-6

CHEMISTRY

Bubble Science
Explore the nature of bubbles using amazing bubble blowers.
Grade K

newChemical Concoctions
What is chemistry, anyway? Stir up some science and create concoctions to take home.
Grades 1-2

Chemistry in a Bag
Conduct simple experiments that produce exciting changes in color and temperature.
Grades 3-4

newChemical Creations
Mix up some chemicals, then use them in experiments that test your powers of observation and prediction.
Grades 5-6

PRESCHOOL SCIENTISTS

My Body
Build a skeleton and learn about your skin and blood.

Growing Up Green
Learn about plants, animals and the Earth through the color green.

Animysteries
Experience how animals communicate in nature using touch, sound and smell.
