USS Requin (SS-481)
Climb aboard a real submarine moored on the Ohio River. As the US Navy’s first radar picket submarine and the first-ever historic ship to use interactive multimedia technology, USS Requin offers a distinctive blend of history and technology that fascinates young and old alike. Explore interactive touch-screen stations throughout Requin to learn about nautical science and hear heartwarming, amusing stories from veterans who served on her during the Cold War. Ambient sound effects and props recreate life aboard the submarine in exacting detail.
